Check out this month's update to Xperience by Kentico. We added language-specific domain support, digital commerce updates, broader data-export support in the administration dashboard, and major improvements to KentiCopilot's Management API and MCP server.

Multilingual website flexibility with language-specific domains

Xperience was designed from its launch to support multilingual customer experiences driven by translated content variants.

Last year, AIRA gained the ability to bulk-translate content graphs for marketers. With one click, they can translate an entire web page into their chosen language. Customers were served that translated content based on the URL, using language prefixes and fallbacks.

However, not all websites follow the pattern of using a language prefix in a URL (e.g. /es/ for Spanish). Using separate domains for each language variant of a website is another common approach.

Showcase of how language specific domains for private cloud deployments work in Xperience by Kentico.

To support teams that use a separate domain for each language, we introduced language-specific domains as an option for localized websites in Xperience by Kentico.

Now, a website channel can map each language to a different domain:

  • English: dancinggoat.com
  • Spanish: dancinggoat.es
  • French: fr.dancinggoat.com

Because multilingual settings are unique to each channel, teams can combine the language-prefix approach for a microsite with language-specific domains for their primary website.

If you started building your Xperience by Kentico application and want to switch from one approach to the other, we provide a CLI tool for local development to convert all your website URLs for you.

Encourage conversions with digital commerce free shipping promotions

Any business involved in digital commerce knows the value of well-designed and timed discounts and promotions.

Abandoned shopping carts can be transformed into conversions with the right promo code landing in a customer's inbox.

Xperience by Kentico's native digital commerce support includes promotion and discount management and price calculation during checkout.

Customers purchasing physical goods have come to expect a specific discount from digital storefronts: free shipping. Until now, it wasn't included out of the box in Xperience.

September's Refresh brings rule-based free shipping promotions that store managers can set up directly in Xperience's digital commerce Promotions application.

Free shipping promotions include the same features as other discounts and promotions:

Xperience provides a base C# class free shipping promotion, which developers can extend to meet a business’s eligibility requirements:

We've also improved the order management experience to show which orders include free shipping and the price breakdown for each order line, including applied promotions.

We have several more upcoming enhancements to digital commerce on our roadmap for the October Refresh.

Externalize your data with listing data exports

Xperience by Kentico is a foundational tool for our customers' marketing operations. It helps them manage multiple digital channels and collect customer engagement signals to personalize experiences and drive marketing KPIs.

Marketing teams use a range of tools in their daily work and often rely on data stored in Xperience.

Our August 2026 Refresh made it easier for marketers to bring the data stored in Xperience to external workflows with form submission exports.

We also hinted at more data export support across the administration UI's listing pages.

We improved data exports in two ways with this Refresh:

  • The event logs listing now natively supports data exports
  • Developers can add data exports to both built-in and custom listing pages

By default, exporting requires the View permission, managed through Role and Permissions. Anyone who can open a listing can export it.

But developers can explicitly require a dedicated Export permission by extending the page or configuring the permission for their own listing pages. This is helpful for data compliance and access controls.

In the screenshots above, the native Recipient Lists subscribers listing was extended with exports and an explicit "Export" permission.

The code was generated by Claude Opus 5.5 in about two minutes using the KentiCopilot documentation MCP server.

Build faster with KentiCopilot and Management API/MCP expansion

Over the past year, we've invested heavily in KentiCopilot, a suite of AI development tools for agentic development on Xperience by Kentico projects. This Refresh continues that work.

Xperience's Management API and MCP server have quickly become some of KentiCopilot's most exciting features.

The MCP server gives AI agents the ability to help developers quickly construct Xperience projects without the need to click through the administration UI. Not only does this significantly speed up development, but it helps automate many of the most tedious parts of an application build.

Based on our agentic development tests, Xperience by Kentico project benchmarks, and feedback from our Feedback MCP server, we identified high-priority improvements to help developers work with AI agents through the Management API and MCP server.

First, we added support for several key object types common across nearly all Xperience projects:

Developers can now instruct AI agents to build integrations that synchronize external data with Xperience, create UI pages, and model the custom objects and modules needed to store that data. This significantly reduces the effort and cost required to use one of Xperience’s greatest capabilities.

As the number of tools in the Management MCP server grows, they consume more of an AI model's limited context, which is better spent on business requirements and implementation details.

To that end, we now support multiple ways to limit the number of MCP server tools exposed to AI agents:

  • Enabling groups of tools
  • Enabling/disabling individual tools
  • Exposing tools dynamically

The first screenshot shows 136 tools exposed to the AI agent. In the second, the --enabled-groups and --disabled-tools options reduce that number to 24.

One additional Management API update standardizes identifiers across all endpoints, making agent-generated requests more consistent and reducing failed tool calls and wasted tokens.

Faster SaaS deployments with improved diagnostics and validation

Xperience by Kentico SaaS frees development and IT teams from the day-to-day operational responsibilities of running a DXP, including infrastructure updates and security, data backups, logging and telemetry, and deployment automation.

Because we release monthly Refreshes and weekly hotfixes, we want to streamline deployments and help teams stay up to date with the latest product enhancements.

The deployment progress table in the Xperience Portal now shows an indicator for active deployments and a link to a page with more information about the deployment.

The deployment operations page shows information about each step in the package deployment process, including how long it took.

Users can also open step logs directly in the Xperience Portal, without downloading and extracting a .zip file.

This is convenient for successful deployments but even more important for failed ones, typically caused by misconfiguration of the deployment package. Click the step that failed and view the logs instantly.

Logs for all deployments initiated since our recent SaaS update remain available in the Xperience Portal.

A modern digital experience with Dancing Goat

We recently updated Dancing Goat, bringing it into the era of agentic software development.

We want Dancing Goat to be a useful sandbox where developers can try KentiCopilot and new product APIs. It also makes it easier to explore Xperience's content management and customer data capabilities for marketers.

This Refresh gives Dancing Goat a new design, a modern website-channel experience, and more complete examples of the marketer experience.

The update also adds widgets to explore and enables Page Builder on the Dancing Goat home page.

Users can also explore prebuilt Customer Journeys based on Dancing Goat's channel experiences and realistic customer-engagement questions.

There are many more improvements to Dancing Goat, so we recommend creating a new instance with the sample project template on the latest Refresh.
